We Require More of This
Posted by ArchWizard on September 11, 2019, 10:01:33 pm

I have updated some Mineral info. Not all of it. For the sake of accuracy and completeness, I obtained recipe info by plugging stuff into the in-game Factory. However, my character currently doesn't have enough of everything to get all of the data I want. So, I can't finish updating Minerals until I've done more farming/leveling.

Rebuilt Engines
Posted by ArchWizard on September 4, 2019, 10:44:43 pm

All Engine info is up to date.

Radar Love

I updated information for a variety of weapon types, including terols and rifles.

Most Logical
Posted by ArchWizard on June 30, 2019, 01:09:33 pm

I updated all info on Vulcan-type standard weapons, and I went back and filled in all of the information on Automatic-type standards that I missed on my first attempt.

Swing And A Missile
Posted by ArchWizard on June 28, 2019, 06:50:21 pm

I have updated Missile info, under Advanced Weapons.

Coil Gun Fun
Posted by ArchWizard on June 22, 2019, 08:10:07 pm

I updated and added lots of information on Mass drive (A-Gear standard) weapons.

Dual of the Bates
Posted by ArchWizard on June 20, 2019, 07:48:19 pm

I updated the information on Dualist type weapons (A-Gears) and Gatling type weapons (BMI-Gears).

Cannonical
Posted by ArchWizard on June 17, 2019, 06:23:52 pm

I added new Cannon-type standard weapons and tried my best to update information for Cannons that were in the database. (I do mean Cannon-type specifically like smashes and supremes, not all A-Gear standard weapons.)

Bumble Bundle
Posted by ArchWizard on June 14, 2019, 06:52:41 pm

I added a bunch of weapons, some level 100+. Twintail types and all of the A-Gear bundle-type weapons I could find.

Advancements in Armors
Posted by ArchWizard on June 12, 2019, 07:49:30 pm

I've added a bunch of the level 100+ "Advance" armors. Also, wow, can you believe it's been twelve years since Siegemode.com started up? How the years went by.

A Hodgepodge
Posted by ArchWizard on March 22, 2016, 09:16:59 pm

Some updates:
- Added those weird level 90 armors
- Replaced old armor images with new images
- Updated some armor names and descriptions

My Special Blue Attack
Posted by ArchWizard on March 22, 2016, 03:08:46 pm

I decided to finally get rid of that damned red color scheme; the title banner should follow shortly. Also, I started adding level 100+ armors.

It's An Update for Websites
Posted by ArchWizard on March 3, 2016, 10:00:42 pm

Siegemode.com has been updated to work with PHP 7. Yay. Yaaaay. Also: RSS feeds are broken at the moment. That's probably not related.

Ads Subtracted
Posted by ArchWizard on March 28, 2015, 12:13:44 pm

Siegemode.com had ads for a long time. Now it doesn't. I might post about the whole saga on the Siegemode forums.

Forum Doldrums
Posted by ArchWizard on September 1, 2014, 01:17:19 pm

I recently discovered that the old forum URL stop redirecting to the new forum URL, so I updated the link to the forum.

Atoomic Power
Posted by ArchWizard on February 20, 2014, 02:29:27 pm

Three new videos have been added, all by Atoom:

Crisis City
Machine Labyrinth
Tropical Resort

Not Really An Update
Posted by ArchWizard on March 21, 2013, 12:38:03 am

I feel as though I've slept through something very important.

Gone to Ground
Posted by ArchWizard on August 2, 2012, 12:15:46 am

I've modified the engine search pages to display ground speeds at a glance and allow for sorting by ground speed. I've also fixed a bug involving sorting engines by speeds.

Victory, Huh?
Posted by ArchWizard on March 28, 2012, 11:29:53 am

Anticept has informed me that he has received enough donations to keep his hosting for another year. This means Siegemode.com can afford to keep running for a long while. However, on behalf on Anticept, I will ask that people donate a bit more if they can. That way, we all don't have to deal with any more, er, "emergencies" in the future.

But overall, we're fine now.

Siegemode.com: It's a Website in Danger
Posted by ArchWizard on March 21, 2012, 01:20:47 pm

Anticept, generous provider of free hosting to Siegemode.com, is very low on cash. This means he can't afford to be generous any more. Meanwhile, I can't fully cover the cost because I'm not exactly rich myself. So, I must ask Siegemode.com's loyal fans to help out. You can donate using this link:

War and Points
Posted by ArchWizard on November 1, 2011, 09:18:50 pm

I added all of the missing things you can buy from the Warpoint shop in AirRivals.

Tricky Pics
Posted by ArchWizard on September 24, 2011, 02:42:34 am

So I noticed that some items, like killmark CPUs and some engines, now get the large-sized icons in their info windows. I've begun adding those, but changing the site code to display them might be buggy. Just, you know, a warning.

This is a Test of the Early Warning System
Posted by ArchWizard on March 13, 2011, 03:00:19 pm

There are no plans for an April Fools' joke this year. If anything bad happens to the site that day, you should probably say something.

New News
Posted by ArchWizard on September 5, 2010, 10:33:39 am

kryvian told me to update siegemode, so here's an update: kryvian is still a furry.

A Note on Timeliness
Posted by ArchWizard on August 24, 2010, 12:34:23 pm

A little birdie came to me today and said there were movies waiting to be added to Siegemode. It turns out that one had been in the queue for a week and another had been in there for a few months. Sorry, X1Devil and Tweak, for taking so long to get your videos up. Screw you, birdie, for thinking it's okay to slack off.

The End of History
Posted by ArchWizard on July 9, 2010, 11:11:11 pm

All legend armor is in. That means that all legend item info is in.

Purple Pros
Posted by ArchWizard on July 9, 2010, 02:33:19 am

All legend weapon info is in. A big thanks to argodaemon for being the most trustworthy source of information on Space Bees Online.

DRINK! ARSE! FAQ! GIRLS!
Posted by ArchWizard on July 5, 2010, 04:05:49 pm

I overhauled the FAQs & Guides page because it's been bothering me for years. The new version of the page doesn't have redundant entries any more, which is what bothered me most. I have a feeling there's an obvious improvement I could make, but I can't think of it. If you figure it out, e-mail me or post on the forums about it.

Odds and Ends
Posted by ArchWizard on July 3, 2010, 08:12:35 pm

A bunch of event items from NA Ace have been added. Thank evilwar for going through the drudgery of collecting it.

Oops, I Forgot to Tell a Joke About Legends
Posted by ArchWizard on June 24, 2010, 08:22:18 pm

All legend weapons up to Belpegore (level 60) have been added. ALL OF THEM.

Three Cherries
Posted by ArchWizard on June 21, 2010, 06:19:25 pm

All slot armors are in now. I also took the liberty of adding stats for a couple of the weapons from a certain football event.

I'M A SHAAARK
Posted by ArchWizard on June 19, 2010, 09:29:43 pm

The slot versions of the Quellease Guarder, Shark Veil, and Sharpshooter Binder have been added.

Do You Believe In The Virgin Mary?
Posted by ArchWizard on June 18, 2010, 06:31:28 pm

The Full Metal Guarder and Orca Defender have been added.

Guarder: The Masquerade
Posted by ArchWizard on June 17, 2010, 05:34:09 pm

The Illusion Veil, Lance Binder, and Masquerade Guarder are now in. I don't even know what to say about this.

Defender I Hardly Know 'Er
Posted by ArchWizard on June 16, 2010, 06:05:03 pm

The slot Grinder and Harrier Defenders are in now. You know who I forgot to thank earlier? Acecalcs and AtumWiki. I got most of the numbers for the slot armors from these two sources because I am far too lazy these days to do my own research.

Insert Tab A Into Slot Armor B
Posted by ArchWizard on June 15, 2010, 07:20:04 pm

After many a day of not updating even though I promised I would, I got the Slot/Cash Shop Exorcist Binders onto Siegemode. The other slot armors will be added as the week progresses.

Like Something Mr. T Would Say
Posted by ArchWizard on April 1, 2010, 06:38:24 pm

I have some more terrible news: all of the heartfelt messages from people who are sad about Siegemode shutting down made me feel bad. I felt bad because this has all been an elaborate multi-day April Fool's prank. In other words:

SIEGEMODE.COM IS NOT SHUTTING DOWN.

I realize this is basically the biggest asshole thing I've done since I got Yedang to shut down SCO, but man, I never get to prank anyone. Ever! I never got to do anything mild like change Siegemode.com to Frenzerker.com, so I had to make up for it by going completely overboard. So there.

To take the edge off of my betrayal of your collective trust, I will say something else: Spring break means I can begin updating Siegemode for episode 3.2! evilwar has been hard at work, collecting screenshots of things. When I give the word, he'll send me all of the information he has so it can be added to the site! Isn't this great? Not only will siegemode stay running, but it'll be better than ever!

P.S. Please don't hurt me D:

Service Close. Thank.
Posted by ArchWizard on March 28, 2010, 02:28:00 pm

Siegemode is shutting down on April 8. Welp. It's been fun, but it's not fun any more. I hope xXKUJA68Xx enjoys turning Siegemode.com into a Starcraft 2 fansite.

oh hai
Posted by ArchWizard on March 24, 2010, 02:48:28 pm

I know I haven't updated lately except to ask for money for Anticept (making music is expensive okay), but I assure you, loyal Siegemode.com visitor, that things are going on. Interesting things.

There will be more details later.

MONEY GET FOR ANTICEPT
Posted by ArchWizard on February 18, 2010, 08:21:38 pm

Those of you who've read Siegemode's About page know that Anticept is the only reason siegemode continues to run; if I had to cover hosting costs AND add content to the site, I would have given up on siegemode and moved on to running adult sites a long time ago. As you can guess, when I heard Anticept is in need of more advanced musical equipment, I felt that I had to help.

Anticept is an arranger and composer of fine music, but his equipment is horribly bad and was apparently designed to make puppies cry when used. As a fellow musically-inclined person, I want to help him get a good MIDI keyboard so that doing musical work isn't a neverending parade of frustration.

Anticept has chosen the keyboard he wants and is on his way to getting it within the next several months, but I want to help him get it sooner. I'm asking those generous visitors to siegemode to join me in sending a few dollars to [email protected] so he can get that keyboard sooner and rock out some phat jams or whatever it is that composers do.

Ad, Don't Subtract
Posted by ArchWizard on December 29, 2009, 11:44:56 pm

Thanks to Ad-Man from ANI Artemis on NA Ace, Siegemode now has information on nearly every B-Gear skill.

Not Just a Website for A-Gears
Posted by ArchWizard on December 21, 2009, 03:32:01 pm

Someone named S. La sent in information on several B-Gear skills, pushing Siegemode ever-so-slightly closer to being completely correct about everything. Thanks, S.!

Cowboys and Engines
Posted by ArchWizard on December 9, 2009, 03:59:32 pm

The engine search page has been updated to use the new search system. This is almost certainly a good thing.

Search Guarantees Citizenship
Posted by ArchWizard on November 28, 2009, 06:43:22 pm

I'm trying out a new search results page that shows more information and makes it easier to compare the important stats of different items. You can check out the prototype at the CPU search page.

Tom Cruise Is In Love With This Guide
Posted by ArchWizard on November 22, 2009, 12:20:52 pm

Corak has written a fine new guide to the most irritating scenario and sidestory missions. The guide covers ANI-only and shared missions and tells the reader which mission maps are good to keep. You can go right to the guide by clicking here.

Triple Threat
Posted by ArchWizard on November 7, 2009, 02:20:28 pm

Corak (of SCO and AR fame, not Might and Magic fame) has written three new guides, suitable for reading, downloading, or framing.

The first guide is a brand-new starter guide, written to help you help the new Ace Online players in your life, even if YOU are the new Ace player in your life that you need to help! It answers common and a few not-quite-common questions asked by newbies, plus a bunch that newbies should ask but don't.

The second guide is a companion guide: a remake of Corak's CPU Chart, now in HTML format. It's sortable, which is useful for finding those best CPUs without too much effort.

The third guide is another companion guide listing bonus points from missions by level. It's great for the min-maxer in your life, who may very well be you!

The System is Up
Posted by ArchWizard on November 6, 2009, 03:22:10 pm

We had a bit of a scare today, but thanks to Anticept the problem is resolved and Siegemode.com points to where it's supposed to point, instead of pointing to where it's not supposed to point.

Better Nate Than Lever
Posted by ArchWizard on October 28, 2009, 12:00:00 am

So a certain Mike C. sent me the stats on the Tower defender S-IV over two months ago and I'm just now adding it to Siegemode. Sorry about that.

Siegemode.computer
Posted by ArchWizard on August 1, 2009, 02:36:11 pm

After a mighty struggle, my work computer has been rebuilt and I can go back to improving Siegemode. Rebuilding the thing cost a lot of money, hint hint.

Stones Ruin Shuffle
Posted by ArchWizard on July 7, 2009, 02:42:35 pm

Some pages got moved around, so if you linked to displayMovie.php or to SiegemodeRSS.php, the links won't get updated and will eventually stop working altogether. Your links should be updated to movie/displayMovie.php and feeds/SiegemodeRSS.php respectively.

Making a Skilling
Posted by ArchWizard on June 27, 2009, 01:24:23 pm

I've added the stealth card and the FMSOC, SSOC, and FSOC to the miscellaneous items database for the sake of completeness. I also added the Christmas gift from 2008 and fixed a minor bug.

I Like to Movie It Movie It
Posted by ArchWizard on June 25, 2009, 01:36:21 pm

After several days of tinkering, tampering, and other t-words that mean working, there is now a movie submission form. Meant to make sending in movies easier, this form will alert the Siegemode management to the existence of your movie so that it may be judged. The link to the form can be found just below the list of movies on the movie page.

Not Really the News
Posted by ArchWizard on June 18, 2009, 12:34:51 pm

I tinkered with the site code again. Will you notice? Well, if you linked to one of the formatted guides, I may have broken that link. Again. I know, I'm an asshole. But hey! We have a page for Ace movies! Isn't that nice? You can take a look over there and see the three movies that we have as of the time of this post.

What It's All About
Posted by ArchWizard on June 16, 2009, 03:59:53 pm

In response to popular-ish demand, I've written up an About page for Siegemode that describes the site's origins in detail and dishes out juicy gossip about the contributors.

If you're the type of person who likes to express strong feelings about trivial matters, I'm soliciting opinions on a possible movie database addition to Siegemode. The forum post about it is here.

The Good, the Bad, and the Good Again
Posted by ArchWizard on June 10, 2009, 01:07:34 pm

I added a bunch of I-Gear skills, then found a bunch of mistakes in the search code that made some searches fail badly. These mistakes should be fixed now. I also fixed a problem with displaying four adhesives that have apostrophes in their names.

A Note on Links
Posted by ArchWizard on June 8, 2009, 12:00:00 am

If you linked to displayItem.php to show off an item or skill in the database, the link was probably broken by the big update yesterday. Sorry about that.

Feed Me, Seymour
Posted by ArchWizard on June 8, 2009, 12:00:00 am

Siegemode has an RSS 2.0 feed now. Make a live bookmark! Add it to your reader! Know when things happen to Siegemode!

Siegemode Evolved
Posted by ArchWizard on June 7, 2009, 12:00:00 am

We did a somewhat significant overhaul of the code behind Siegemode.com. There should only be a few visible differences, however:

The Weapons category was split into Standards and Advanceds

Searches themselves are now parameterized, so you can link directly to specific searches

Viewing combined adhesives through displayItem.php now works correctly

I hope that you will enjoy or at least accept these new changes, since they are necessary to ensure the future survival of Siegemode.com. That's what I tell myself, at least.

MG Lovers' Skillet
Posted by ArchWizard on June 3, 2009, 12:00:00 am

We just added lots of MG skill info thanks to kryvian, whom no one can deny is an M-Gear on ANI Helix. Give him free stuff because he is a nice guy, okay?

Filling in the Gaps
Posted by ArchWizard on May 29, 2009, 12:00:00 am

So I found out today that buy shops list all legend armors up to S-III. I'm sure you can guess what happened after that. Also: I fixed a navigation bug. It turns out that for years, clicking on News didn't take you to the main page like it was supposed to. Why doesn't anyone ever tell me about these things?

A Joke
Posted by ArchWizard on May 17, 2009, 12:00:00 am

A priest, a rabbi, and a shaman walk into a bar, but there's no rabbi and there's no shaman and it's actually my eighth birthday and the priest is updating the AG bundle stats. And the priest is me and I'm not a priest.

I updated the bundle stats.

A LOT.

Lost in Translation
Posted by ArchWizard on May 5, 2009, 12:00:00 am

Is anyone interested in translating some of Siegemode's guides into German, French, Thai, Italian or Russian? Yes? No? Yes?

Like Snowflakes
Posted by ArchWizard on March 31, 2009, 12:00:00 am

I fixed a problem in which the names of unique CPUs and engines were not colored yellow. I also added the Serpin Twintail to the weapons list.

Boss Nova
Posted by ArchWizard on March 28, 2009, 12:00:00 am

I've added a few more boss armors and changed some boss item names to note when a certain item is unfinished.

Armory
Posted by ArchWizard on March 25, 2009, 12:00:00 am

We're back with yet more legend armors. It's mostly BG legend armors, with some AG and IG armors.

It's a Mineral Guide For All Gears
Posted by ArchWizard on January 1, 2009, 12:00:00 am

I have put up a guide for minerals.

Who's the Boss
Posted by ArchWizard on November 27, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I added some legend weapons and some boss weapons and armor.

I Accidentally My Minerals
Posted by ArchWizard on October 27, 2008, 12:00:00 am

All minerals are in, unless you consider catalysts to be minerals.

Legends before Regins
Posted by ArchWizard on October 20, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I've added a bunch of legend weapons and armors. Could Boss equipment be coming soon? Probably not. I can't find those little inventory icons for them.

More Updates Mean More Iron
Posted by ArchWizard on October 19, 2008, 12:00:00 am

We've added some more minerals. We've got all of the ores (both basic and high-purity) and some metals.

Minimal Mineral
Posted by ArchWizard on October 11, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I've added a new section for minerals, alloys, and ores. So far we have three ores. It's nice. I've also added a few legend items and updated warpoint prices for some items because I figured I should get around to that while I'm doing things.

Stick Figured
Posted by ArchWizard on August 21, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I think I have added all non-Cash Shop adhesives. Yay!

Keep on Stickin'
Posted by ArchWizard on July 27, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I added a few more adhesives, including all permanent adhesives like shield generators.

Oh yeah: the "Forum" link over there points to the new Siegemode.com forum. I kinda forgot to mention it. Oops.

Sellout Shop
Posted by ArchWizard on July 20, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I put a PayPal Donate link in the siegemode navigation bar. Yes, I am asking for money. No, I don't desperately need the money. Yes, it is entirely optional. No, I will not think less of you for not donating. Yes, I won't even blame you if you don't donate but spend hundreds of dollars on GFots or whatever you use in your version of Ace Online just so you can own every trail and mark.

Stickybomb
Posted by ArchWizard on July 18, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I added a bunch of things. It's been so long since the last update that I can't even remember them all. Some of them are temp adhesives, though. I remember that.

Legend of Miscellaneous Mana
Posted by ArchWizard on June 17, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I added more legend items and the rest of the enchant cards.

I Am Legend
Posted by ArchWizard on June 10, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I've added a few more legend items to siegemode.

Advance to Go (Collect 200 SPI)
Posted by ArchWizard on May 10, 2008, 12:00:00 am

All non-AG, non-legend, non-boss advanced weapons have been added.

Update on the Down Low
Posted by ArchWizard on May 9, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I added some new stuff to skills and weapons. See if you can find them. Or don't.

Fully Automated
Posted by ArchWizard on March 27, 2008, 12:00:00 am

All Automatic type standard weapons (tails and twintails) have been added. The other non-AG weapons will be added soon. Probably.

Siegemode: The Next Level
Posted by ArchWizard on March 25, 2008, 12:00:00 am

Here's the new Siegemode.com. Sorry it took so long to get it out here. We cool, right? Also: StarSiege sent me a new version of his A-Gear guide, updated with Ace Online/Air Rivals-related information.

Illin'
Posted by ArchWizard on February 18, 2008, 12:00:00 am

I have been sick with disease, but work was still being done on Siegemode for some reason. We have a redesign in the works and StarSiege (of StarSiege's FAQ fame) says that the design is much cleaner and more professional than the current design. If StarSiege says it then it must be true, right?
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot clicking here - forever.

Armored Hearts
Posted by ArchWizard on February 1, 2008, 12:00:00 am

The recipes for all warpoint armors have been added to siegemode.

Going the Distance
Posted by ArchWizard on January 14, 2008, 12:00:00 am

Did you know that for Ace Online, the maximum ranges of all A-Gear standards have been increased? Of course you do. I just told you.

Many Bothans Died for This.
Posted by ArchWizard on January 13, 2008, 12:00:00 am

We have added info for unique radars and warpoint armor to Siegemode. Don't ask how I got that info.

It's a Forum for A-Gears
Posted by ArchWizard on January 6, 2008, 12:00:00 am

Someone asked me to make a forum for Siegemode, so I did. The link is to the left, in the navigation sidebar.

Oops, I lied: That link goes to the A-Gear forums on the SCO forums.

Siegemode's Tomorrow
Posted by ArchWizard on December 23, 2007, 12:00:00 am

As most SCO players know, SCO is going to close. After some thought, I have decided to continue running siegemode. I will continue to improve it and will update it with information from Ace Online/Flysis. In the meantime, consider nothing on the site to be necessarily correct with respect to AO.

It's Here.
Posted by ArchWizard on November 27, 2007, 12:00:00 am

SuperDaddy's A-Gear guide has been added to Siegemode.com

Hitchhiker's Guide to the A-Gear
Posted by ArchWizard on October 19, 2007, 12:00:00 am

The page on A-Gear guides has been redone, and StarSiege's A-Gear FAQ has been added.

R.I.P. SuperDaddy's A-Gear

Refined Moissanwebsite
Posted by ArchWizard on October 12, 2007, 12:00:00 am

We finished adding A-Gear skills a while ago, but I forgot to mention that. On an unrelated note, Siegemode's internal construction is being slightly redone. This should have no effects visible to the normal Siegemode visitor.

These be Mad Skillz, Yo
Posted by ArchWizard on September 30, 2007, 12:00:00 am

We've begun adding A-Gear skills to Siegemode.

Engines
Posted by ArchWizard on September 26, 2007, 12:00:00 am

All A-Gears engines have been added to Siegemode.

Surpassing Standards
Posted by ArchWizard on September 17, 2007, 12:00:00 am

Every A-Gear standard weapon has been added to Siegemode. Adding all of the AG weapons was still less of an ordeal than adding the CPUs or the radars.

Bundle Up
Posted by ArchWizard on September 16, 2007, 12:00:00 am

All A-Gear advanced weapons and the barest minimum search options required to make these weapons viewable have been added. Whether this is a good thing is debatable.

Pachelbel's Cannon
Posted by ArchWizard on September 16, 2007, 12:00:00 am

All cannon type standard weapons have been added and some more search functionality has been added.

Smashy Smashy
Posted by ArchWizard on September 16, 2007, 12:00:00 am

I added, um, eight weapons to Siegemode. Yep. Sorting them doesn't work but I doubt that's a pressing problem.

Detecting Large Quantities of Win
Posted by ArchWizard on September 15, 2007, 12:00:00 am

We have added all A-Gear radars to Siegemode.com. This might seem trivial since everyone uses Hover or SOTH, but I wanted it for the sake of completeness.

I Love My Computer
Posted by ArchWizard on September 5, 2007, 12:00:00 am

All known CPUs are now up on Siegemode. Advanced CPU search functionality will be added soon.

Armors lol wut
Posted by ArchWizard on August 27, 2007, 12:00:00 am

All A-Gear armors are now in the database. Furthermore, all of those crazy checkboxes actually let you limit your search results in arguably correct ways. Holy crap!
